These terms apply to every order placed on towtide.com. Please read them before you order.

2. Independence from vehicle manufacturers
We are an independent towing equipment supplier. We are not appointed, approved or authorised by any vehicle manufacturer, and we do not claim to be a dealer for any of them. Vehicle make and model names are used only to describe which towbars, electrics and accessories fit which vehicles.
3. Your order
When you place an order you receive an email acknowledging it. The contract between us is formed when we email to confirm dispatch, or confirm a fitting booking. Because towbars are type approved for a specific make, model, body shape and year range, we ask for your vehicle registration and confirm the exact kit before we take the order. We may decline an order if an item is out of stock, if there is an obvious pricing error, or if we cannot confirm an approved kit exists for your registration. If we decline, we refund you in full.
4. Fitment and type approval
Towbars are type approved to UNECE R55 for one make, model, body shape and year range. Give us your registration so we can confirm the correct kit. Dedicated electrics keep more of the car's own functions working than universal electrics with a bypass relay, and some vehicles need electronic coding.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where it applies. Delivery is charged by weight and shown before you pay. International orders may be subject to import duty and local taxes, which you pay on delivery.
6. Delivery
Delivery times are estimates. The goods are your responsibility once delivered to the address you gave, or once collected. Lithium batteries and trailers ship within the UK only, as set out on our Delivery page.
7. Cancellations, returns and faulty goods
Your rights to cancel and return are set out on our Returns and refunds page. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Fitting services
Supplied and fitted services are carried out at Unit 1 Main Road, Tydd Gote, Wisbech PE13 5QD, by appointment, for UK customers only. Mobile fitting and on site fleet fitting within the UK are arranged by quote. You must bring the vehicle at the booked time and tell us about any known faults. If we find further work is needed, we will not carry it out without your agreement.
9. Trade and fleet customers
If you buy in the course of a business, the consumer cancellation rights do not apply, and our liability for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of use of a vehicle or trailer, is excluded to the extent the law allows.
10. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
